Privacy Policy

This policy describes what personal data the ChargeR app (available at getcharger.app) collects, why, how long it's kept, and what rights you have over it.

Account	name, email address, password (encrypted, managed by Supabase Auth — we never see it)
Vehicle and charging data	data you enter yourself: charging sessions, odometer readings, tariffs, service records, insurance, purchase price
Technical data	IP address and technical logs generated automatically by hosting and database operation (Netlify, Supabase) — not used for profiling or marketing

We do not process any payment data (the app does not currently handle payments) or special categories of personal data (health, biometric, etc.).

3. Why we process data and on what legal basis

• Providing the service (running your account, storing and displaying your data) — legal basis: performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) formed when you create an account.
• Account security (e.g. sending a password-reset email) — legal basis: legitimate interest in the secure operation of the service (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Communication about changes to the service — only where necessary for running your account; we don't send marketing emails without separate consent.

4. Who we share data with

Your data is processed by the following processors, chosen for the technical operation of the app:

We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising purposes.

5. How long we keep data

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. Once you delete your account (see below), your personal data and all associated data are permanently and irreversibly removed from the database, except for technical logs held by infrastructure providers (Netlify, Supabase), which expire on their own retention schedule, typically within days to weeks.

6. Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

• access your personal data,
• rectify inaccurate data,
• erasure ("the right to be forgotten"),
• data portability in a machine-readable format,
• restrict processing and object to processing based on legitimate interest,
• lodge a complaint with a data protection authority — in the Czech Republic, the Office for Personal Data Protection (uoou.cz), or your own country's equivalent authority — if you believe your rights have been violated.

How to exercise your rights

Download your data: directly in the app, under Settings → Backup, via the "Export backup" button — downloads a complete overview of your data as an .xlsx file.

Delete your account: directly in the app, under Settings → Danger zone → "Delete my account" — your account and all data are deleted instantly and permanently.

7. Cookies and local storage

The app does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Your browser locally stores only a technically necessary login token (managed by Supabase Auth) and your language preference — both used solely to make the app work and remember you between visits.

8. Security

Data is protected by technical measures at the database level (Row Level Security), which ensure that only the logged-in account owner can access their own data. Data transfer between your device and the server is always encrypted (HTTPS).

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example alongside changes to the app's features. We will notify you of significant changes in the app or by email.
